What is the WV Utility Impact Project?
WVUIP is an initiative started in West Virginia to gather data on the rising cost of living that is leaving our people suffering. The intention is to use this data amongst other methods to push for real, legal accountability and change from our elected officials and the utility companies.
Our people are suffering. What is happening within our state is an emergency, and we are treating it as such
Our focuses are on pressuring utility companies to change, and for our elected officials to advocate and bring funds to their constituents suffering from the high costs of living, and the terrible utility qualities provided to them. These issues need to be priortized and fixed. When our officials don't listen, we take it into our own hands to hold them accountable.
REPORTS & DATA
Creating and releasing official reports and visuals on the data collected to be used as proof of these issues occuring to further push accountability
Meeting with officials
Doing our civic duty by reminding our officials that they are public servants, and fixing the issues within their district should be their #1 priority
